EN_IDEA, IMAGE, IMAGINATION 20180312.20220813
IDEA, IMAGE and IMAGINATION are general terms for all the products of our thinking, that is, not only for our CONSCIOUS THINKING, but also for our unconscious thinking. We can think of them as models that we create to guide us through the implications of our observations, our experiences and our practice in general.
They are the terms I use to translate the Czech word [CZ original: PŘEDSTAVA] into English. The difficulty I find is that some English terms have already been given established technical meanings, so they are less suitable for expressing such a general meaning.
Their basic characteristic is that they can never be absolutely true. Because it would otherwise cease to be an IDEA, an IMAGE or an IMAGINATION, but would already become what they represent, and that is not possible, so like no model can ever become what it models.
