CHANGE is the product of something changing. We have invented time to understand the CHANGES we are observing. So CHANGE is the present moment in which we live. Everything before that CHANGE is a past that no longer exists. And everything after that CHANGE will be a future that does not yet exist.
Time exists only as our IDEA, our illusion, and therefore we can perceive and measure it only indirectly through observable CHANGES. How? By comparing them with the agreed reference CHANGES. These can be, for example, the time of one orbit of the Earth around the Sun [one year], one rotation of the Earth around its axis [one day], or they can be tied to faster CHANGES, for example in the position of a pendulum or CHANGES caused by the oscillation of crystals.
The CHANGES we observe are the realization of our IDEA of time. In other words, if CHANGE ceases to exist, so does time. So, at least for myself, I can conclude: “Time and the clock are not my masters.CHANGES are my masters”.
